Game Changer #1: THE STORY

- Learning to hear the story we tell ourselves is step one. Understanding that we choose to co-write those stories is step two. Then, we can freely explore the big-picture story of our time. Beyond fear, politics, and propaganda, we entertain fresh perspectives that uncover an empowering narrative. Whether it's your tale unfolding, or the epic collective narrative, it's a game changer to know who's telling the story and when it's time to write a new one.
Game Changer #2: THE PROCESS
"As within, so without"
- The story of our time reveals that we are on the precipice of change; the old way is transitioning into something new. We are in between worlds. What worked before, will no longer suffice. A deeper undertaking is required to move forward. We recognize the inner world process that fuels the performance, potential, and fabric of our realities as a central key to thriving in this great transition and beyond. We specialize in the tools, experiences, and services around the inner world development that change lives, businesses, and our culture.

- The path to the truest story, peak performance, and thriving in a turbulent world is not for the faint of heart. We don't sugarcoat it. To those who want to pay the price to reach their full potential, we offer a new story, an inner world process, and a deeply intimate experience. We are here to support the Game Changers; the souls that choose a difficult path at a critical time to tilt the scales in the favor of a much-needed (r)evolution. About Jesska Layne Herfst, MAPC
My name is Jesska. It breaks down like this; "Jess" + "ka".
What I do has never fit well in a box. I think of myself as an 'inner world Sherlock Holmes'; solving tough cases with an unconventional inner realm approach and a super reliable team.
However, the culturally appropriate language for what I do sounds more like this: "I currently operate as a Behavioral Consultant for Organizations. My work includes Executive Coaching, Group Facilitation, and Customized Intensives". I also write this newsletter and host podcasts. I recently finished my first book (more below). All of my efforts center around inner-world development for Game Changers.
I have an undergrad in Marketing. I fell in love with art at this time in my life and vowed to never work in an environment without it. I spent a few years in marketing studios and galleries in Scottsdale, AZ while I got my Master's of Arts in Professional Counseling.
I received a triple major; two in Trauma-informed practices and one in Expressive Art Therapy. I specialized in neuro-based trauma work and ended up focusing on special populations like those with complex trauma, gifted populations, and small group facilitation. I was trained and certified in just about everything (Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, ACT, DBT, CBT, DBT, MST).
Throughout that time, I helped several businesses raise funds, grow profits, cultivate teams, and expand their client base. I became obsessed with the cross-section of healing, transformation, and tangible results.
I left private practice and started my own coaching and consulting company where I put my business and clinical background to work for my clients who were now high-performance professionals (who often had a trauma background and gifted tendencies). I later built a program called Funds to Flourish with a small team; a program that walked clients through how to raise funds, hone their performance, and make their businesses more profitable. My hometown wrote a little article about us (Funds to Flourish) if you want to check it out here. We had a blast and got into amazing niches like cannabis, startups, food, art, and incredible non-profit organizations. Since then, my consulting company has partnered with other organizations, businesses, and coaching specialists to serve those I warmly refer to as 'Game Changers'.
During the shutdowns of 2020, I wrote a book called Inner World Development: The Game Changer's Guide to (r)Evolution. It contains the radical story of our time, my theory about Game Changers, and a guide to surviving the uncharted parts of the inner world development process. It's based on the work I've done and my theory about a collected group of people moving the world forward in a tumultuous time. It's been through four iterations and will be available in Summer 2024.
A global shift is among us. Our Game Changer Community will be tackling some serious stuff with a light touch. You can look forward to:
